Elliptocytosis
(L) This high-oil magnification of the peripheral blood in a patient with hereditary spherocytosis (HS), shows microspherocytes and a normal lymphocyte. (R) Hereditary elliptocytosis. Significant numbers of elliptocytes (oval erythrocytes) are seen in this field.
